It was lunch time on a Sunday and craving for some authentic pho. Most of the nearby restaurants have long lineups and we traded for Pho Bang New York with no line up, and it was getting late.
We ordered 2 identical medium Size rare beef Pho, nothing sophisticated and basic in order that we can get our order fast. What is basic for one is not basic for others as it took a long time to get just 2 bowls of Pho.
The soup was hot but not boiling hot as I would have expected. Taste was just OK, and the amount of meat was satisfactory.
I was sitting at the end table facing the kitchen entrance and I can tell you that the sight was not a good one. I can tell when hygiene is not on the top priority list. I hate to visualize how the interior kitchen would look like.
We finished our lunch and went to the cashier to foot the bill and a sign “ Cash Only” took me by total surprise.
I do not always carry cash on me but luckily I had just enough to settle the bill.
I subsequently read the reviews and crystal clear that I am not the only one caught with the Cash Only situation.
This teaches me a lesson of not reading the reviews before going in a restaurant or business.

Cash only
Soup was not as flavorful as expected. Lots of ingredients
Spring rolls were good, sauce was lighter than expected but good
Would recommend just make sure you have enough cash

This restaurant is very accessible to downtown as it is in... well, downtown Montreal. The service between the waiters and my family were superb, and the wait time varied between 6 minutes to 9 minutes. The food overall tasted amazing, not too heavy on the salt, and not too dull of a taste. The Vietnamese tang is inside the dishes, and prepared with a Western taste as well. The price for the dishes were overall fair (average of 17 dollars per dish), and there is a working bathroom.

Fresh and flavourful. Beef was delicious i the other soups we had. Imperial rolls were very good.
